Instructions for the dice set lanyard.
First Step
String half your dice on each of the thin core cords. At this time, please tie a knot at one end of each 235 cord.
Second step
Fit the 550 cord that was selected as the core and loop it around your neck comfortably. there should be approx. 7 inches of extra cord which we will use to secure all the other cords to the clasp
Third Step
Fit the ends of all non-core cords through the clasp. separate them according to the sides you want to braid later. pull them approx. 2-3 inches through.
Fourth Step
Highly recommended to use the clip to help hold the non-core ends while using the core ends to cobra braid.
Fifth Step
Braid all the cords together very tightly using the ends of the core cord.
Continue cobra pattern until you have at least 2 full “v” on each side.
DO NOT PULL ON THE NON-CORE CORDS TO ADJUST THE LOOPS ON THE CLASP UNTIL THE CORE COBRAS ARE TIGHT.
THEN YOU CAN VERY CAREFULLY SNUG THEM. USE CLAMP TO ASSIST
Beginning lanyard step.
Switch to the secured non-core cords and braid cobras along the core and the 235 dice holder cord until you want to add decorations.
Seen here the tail of the core is being hidden inside the lanyard.
Decoration Step
Each time you want to place a decoration on the lanyard follow these instructions.
Start by lifting the thin core up from the lanyard.
Now braid a single cobra past where it if lifted.
Slide the item down the thin core and loop the 235 cord back with the 550 cores.
Now lock the decoration into place with a minimum of two cobra braids. the spacing is up to your preference.
DO NOT TIGHTEN DOWN THE 235 CORD AND DECORATION BEFORE THAT STEP. YOU RISK PULLING APART YOUR COBRA.
Repeat the Decoration steps until all items are locked in place.
take time now to adjust braid and item tightness.
Finishing steps.
As both sides of the lanyard braids reach the top you can hide the ends of either along the core cord and cobra over them to lock them in place.
Cutting step.
BE SURE TO MAKE FINAL COBRA BRAIDS TIGHT BEFORE CUTTING
Leaving approx. 1/4 inch (1 cm) of cord trim off any extra cords.
Fire Step.
Notify your instructor when you are ready to have the cut cord ends melted.
